Assessments and methods, compared honestly

A comprehensive — not definitive — catalogue organised by families. Popularity is not a synonym for validity: typologies such as DISC, MBTI and the Enneagram can facilitate conversations, but they are not equivalent to instruments with stronger psychometric support, and no result should be used in isolation to hire, dismiss or promote.

Before using any instrument. Instruments must be appropriate to the purpose, population, language and context. Psychological tests restricted to psychologists must be administered by qualified professionals, and the current status of each instrument in SATEPSI must be checked before use.
